After 18 years as CEO of Kraftvaerk, Otto Andersen will take on the role as Chairman of the Board as of June 1, 2022. January 8, 2004 is a very special day for us. It is the day Kraftvaerk was established. With a plan in his pocket and a little money in his hand, Otto was ready to change the world. Now, after more than 18 years in the same position, Otto is ready to continue shaping Kraftvaerk, but from a new perspective as Chairman of the Board of the company he founded.

"I have been in the same position for more than 18 years. I need a change and I'm looking forward to doing things that are a little bit different. I still want to work in sales. I still want to mentor our younger colleagues. I will still care for our culture and values and I will still provide a small amount of controlled madness in our daily lives. When it comes to new things in life, my hope is that I can become Minister of Culture in Kraftvaerk," says Otto Andersen.

Otto Andersen's decision to take up the position as chairman is also due to Andreas Straarup’s entry into the company. Andreas Straarup has been CCO of Kraftvaerk for the last year. During this time, Andreas has transformed Kraftvaerk as a company and laid the groundwork so that the digital consultancy is now ready to embark on a growth journey.

“Being the successor to the founder of Kraftvaerk, and a strong personality like Otto, is a lot to live up to, and I am honoured that Otto wants to pass on the responsibility to me - a responsibility I do not take lightly. When I joined Kraftvaerk, it was with a shared ambition to shape a 'One Kraftvaerk' across national borders and without organisational friction where community, passion and high professionalism will continue to be the cornerstones. Today, Kraftvaerk has a reputation as a well-respected beacon within tech. We must cherish and protect this reputation, but at the same time build on it. Our shared ambition is for Kraftvaerk to evolve into a significant player in digital transformation, but rooted in our solid tech foundation. The first steps have been taken on this journey by adding new competencies in Data, Experience and Strategy. Together with all my super talented colleagues, I look forward to shaping technology and delivering digital winners together with our clients as part of their digital journeys,” says Andreas Straarup.

Currently, Kraftvaerk has around 120 employees and offices in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Helsinki, Stockholm and Lisbon. The initial plan for Andreas is to strengthen Kraftvaerk's position in the Nordics. This will be done by expanding and accelerating the company's activities in this region.

Andreas Straarup will take over as CEO of Kraftvaerk Group on June 1st, 2022.
