HAY strives to make quality design available to as many people as possible. This naturally requires a sound digital set-up. Kraftvaerk has been chosen to act as partner for migrating HAY’s B2B e-commerce. This is part of a larger digitalisation process taking place at the influential design brand.

HAY has launched an ambitious digitalisation project, the first step being to change its ERP solution. The goal is to optimise its B2B purchasing process, its customer service and its online presence. With design-focused world citizens and global growth of 20-40% in recent years, HAY wants to grow its online business. Kraftvaerk has come on board the project, and is responsible for migrating existing functionalities onto the new Episerver platform.

With a newly developed product configurator built on Dynamic 365 configuration models, HAY is being supplied with an optimised set-up which can handle new products and the many different variants.

The new solution consists of real-time integration from Episerver and inRiver to Dynamics 365. Integration with the product configurator makes it possible to optimise new product launches.

Comprehensive digitalisation process supports HAY's ambitions for online growth

HAY has initiated a comprehensive digitalisation process, in which the company’s ERP solution will be replaced in the first phase from Navision to Dynamics 365. Our solution is highly complex, with a product configurator and many integrations for suppliers, carriers and, not least, our web platform. Changing an ERP solution is an extremely business-critical task, which is why it was very important for us to find a partner with in-depth technical insight and a sound business understanding. We chose Kraftvaerk, who after a few meetings and a minimum of documentation managed to present a convincing prototype of a critical part of the project.

Streamlined and optimised process

Kraftvaerk has been chosen to migrate HAYs B2B e-commerce solution onto a new Episerver and inRiver with Dynamics 365 as an underlying engine. The core of the solution is real-time integration from Episerver and inRiver to Dynamics 365 combined with product configuration built on Dynamics 365 generic configuration models. With the solution, HAY will be able to streamline and optimise its processes as part of its ongoing work to launch new products and the infinite number of variants which can be configured. 

The solution will further enhance an optimum purchasing process and customer service for B2B clients while supporting HAY’s ambition of growing its online business relative to offline sales.
